Is it mid-August already?  Gah!  Guess I’d better get started on something for Labor Day, if I’m going to stick with my ‘a fic for every holiday’ idea.  In  the meantime, my Spander fic He Needs Me won best Vampiric Sleeper at the latest round at the Fang Fetish Awards.  See the pretty?

In other news, I’m posting my banner fic that  I did for Writer Con UK.  I’ll give it its own page here as soon as it has been completed and beta’d.  It’s a future fic and involves a haunted house. That’s all I’m saying now. :)

More July stuff: As noted below in my June post, I’ve started a new tradition - to go along with an annual Christmas fic, I’m going to try to write something for every holiday (major holiday). I’ll probably add a section to the Main Fics LIst called “holiday themes” or something like that.  Anyway, first two entries are a Father’s Day drabble (on the drabble page) and two Fourth of July Fics. July 4th  and The Longest Summer.

July 1, 2008 -  Squees - my Valentine’s Day Special fic was given a Best of the Best Judges’ Choice award at the  Rogue Poet Awards first BoB round. 

June, 2008  My Spander fic, He Needs Me has been nominated at the Fang Fetish Awards, so that’s pretty cool.  My latest (*snerk*) Dead Things fic - If I Hurt You, Will You Still Love Me?- is now on a page of it’s own, and it has a lovely banner done by Always_jbj. That’s about it for this month. Have some short things for Good_Evil that I may eventually put up on the drabbles page, and have made a vow to do a fic of some sort for every holiday this year.  So far, I’ve done one for Father’s Day (which will go on the drabbles page eventually) and am working on a couple for Fourth of July.  We’ll see how that goes...

Still May  Wow.  Hadn’t even posted the first update yet, when the Sunnydale Memorials Awards were posted and guess what?  My Loves Lost Series won a pretty for best series,  Time is on My Side won for best TV Crossover, and I got a Best Beta award for working with Unbridled_Brunette, Dawnofme, Always_jbj, and Eowyn (which is really cheating, cause it was only one fic and she’s inhumanly mistake-free). Anyway, squeee and yay and many thanks to whoever nommed me and my fics.

My little Valentine’s day fluff piece Valentines Day Special won for Best Lighthearted at the Rogue Poet Awards. See below for the pretty. I also have pretties from this latest round at the Spark and Burn Awards - A Readers Choice award in Best Alternate Reality for I Know You, II and a Best Plot Winner award for the same fic.  I’m very pleased and grateful to whoever nominated these fics. Thank you!  Both my Spander fic for Spring_for_Xan, He Needs Me, and my Seasonal Spuffy entry Even Champions Need a Home have been posted.  Working on another Dead Things fic now - but not likely to be putting it up anytime soon.  That’s about all I’ve got.  Maybe I’ll wait to update this page until I do have new fic to post...

May again - Because I am a doofus, I just now found the notification that I had stuff nominated at the Sunnydale Memorial Awards. In addition to the already mentioned Best Beta nom, Time Is On My Side has been nominated for Best Crossover TV, and my Loves Lost Series (Loves Lost, Love Awakened, Love Continued and Love Sanctioned) has been nommed for Best Series and Best Pairing Conventional.   Kind of exciting for me as I put a lot of work and thought into that series which began with something that was out of my usual fluffy comfort zone, and, of course, Time (a Jack/Spike fic) was both my first slash and my first and only crossover. *is excited*

May, 2008  Well, I see that the April update didn’t go up. I hope my ftp program is more cooperative this time. *sigh* The two new fics are now posted and you can find them at the links below.  That’s about it for the first of May.

April, 2008 Haven’t updated in over a month, so you’d think I had a lot to put up, wouldn’t you?  LOL  Let’s see, I tied with Mabel Marsters for an “Outstanding Individual” award at the latest round at Fang Fetish. Cool award pretty is below. :)  Have some nommed fics at Rogue Poet Awards, so that’s heartening. :)  My Seasonal Spuffy date is April 27 and I will be posting “Even Champions Need a Home” at that time (and the link will become active here on that date.)  My posting date for Spring_For_Xan is April 29, and I will be posting that fic there and here on that date.  The fic is Spander; it will be Spuffy for only a very short, unhappy time, so be forewarned!  You will be able to find it here and in the Main Fics menu under He Needs Me

I’m trying to decide if I need to make a page for awards that cannot be attached to fics, where I normally put the awards they win.  Things like the above award, Best Writer Awards, Beta Awards, stuff like that.  I think I have enough navigation pages to worry about right now, so if I do make one, I’ll probably just link to it from here and the home page. 

March, 2008 - New ficlet posted (or will be shortly...) Maybe We Can. It’s a little season VI follow-up to As I Should Be 

and takes place at the wedding.  It appears that these ficlets may be becoming a series of little glimpses into a somewhat less angsty season VI, but we’ll see how it goes.  The Valentine’s Day Special has also been nommed at the Rogue Poet Awards, and I’ve been nommed for Best Beta at the SunnyD Awards. Pretty cool, huh?

I’m working on a Xander-centric fic for Spring_for_Xan; not clear yet whether it’s going to be Spander or just a bonding, buddy fic.  The guys can’t seem to make up their minds what they want.  I guess I should take down kazzy’s wonderful Valentine’s Day banner until next year. *sigh*

New Valentine’s Day fic to be added on the 14th.  It’s a very NC17 sequel to the very NC17 (notice how I’ve avoid calling them pwp?lol)”God Bless St. Valentine,” so don’t peek if you’re not old enough.  ETA: The Valentine’s Day Special is posted here and other places; and it’s already nominated at the Forbidden Awards. :)

The lovely Christmas picture is gone for now. I’ll resurrect it next December.

In new news - I’ve expanded my repertoire again; this time to include a Torchwood crossover and m/m slash. The new fic is an NC17 short ficlet about Spike and Jack Harkness titled Time is On My Side.  Look for it here and under the “other characters” section on the main fics page.

Have several wip - some barely begun bunnies, some almost ready to finish, some are just notes to myself about possible sequels  or bunnies and a couple of them are just pictures that gave me an idea or two.  I hope to have something new to post within a week or so.

Oh, and one of the bunnies that has been sitting around half-done for a long time just made itself whole, so, in case you were missing my ubiquitous “fix season six” fics, here’s another one for you: It’s called Older and Far Wiser and is a twist on the obvious episode.
